Page Break Podcast Episode 49: Ty Franck

We kick off season two of Page Break with my guest science fiction author Ty Franck.

Ty is best known as one half of the writing partnership James SA Corey, creators of the wonderful Expanse books and producers and writers for the TV show of the same name. Ty also worked as a personal assistant for George RR Martin and has written for Star Wars and gaming properties.

Ty and I chat at length about his partnership with Daniel Abraham, the other half his pseudonym, including where they started and how the work has evolved over time. We also talk about the complexities of making a TV show and the happy accidents that saw him and Daniel so heavily involved in its production.

Page Break with Brian McClellan is a collection of casual conversations between me and fellow creative professionals—like two friends sitting down over lunch to discuss career, craft, family, and hobbies.

Authorhood is a quiet sort of minor fame where the person behind the words is often obscured by the works they’ve created. I aim to use this podcast to find out more about my friends and colleagues.

Look forward to weekly conversations with creators like TV writer/producer Joseph Mallozzi, epic fantasy author Robin Hobb, science fiction author Pierce Brown, Twitch streamer Mark Hulmes, and many more!
